Close your eyes

what do you hear?

The clock

ticking,

cars driving by,

the bark of

a distant dog.

The sound

of each breath,

the beat

of your heart.

The Wind Speaks

 Blown gentle

by a breeze

passing

chimes play

a wind-swept song

reminding me

this is where

I belong.

My Prayer

Let our hearts

be open

to all whom we

encounter –

not in the

acceptance

of what

they believe,

but because

beyond

our petty differences

waits what matters

most.

Spring Flowers

Your leaves,

not yet verdant,

push through

to find air

still chilled

and sun clouded;

there may even

be snow

all around.

Don't give up.

Soon

you will bloom.
