How can all
that is broken
be made whole?
When words spoken
intend to maul,
points not shared
but hammered home,
split asunder
what should be held close.

We owe each other
so much more,
opinions well-thought, carefully formed.
What we think
is of less import
than kith and kin
tied heart-to-heart.
